I started paying closer attention to the things that touched my family’s skin. The clothes. The food. The bedding. And what I discovered was that most of what we sleep in is poorly made, highly processed, and disconnected from the people who make it.

That realisation planted the seed for Malua. With no background in fashion or textiles - just a deep respect for quality and a desire to create something lasting -I began learning everything I could. I partnered with Portuguese manufacturers known for their ethical practices and exceptional craftsmanship. I visited the flax fields. I tested the materials myself. I slept in every prototype.
