Washing & Care
Washing & Care
- We recommend washing the duvet cover before first use.
- Turn the duvet cover inside out.
- Put in the washing machine. Do not mix with other fabrics. Do not overload the washing machine. Linen likes to have freedom during washing.
- Wash at 40°C, with a mild detergent, without bleaches or softeners, which may adversely affect the linen fibre.
- Hang to dry. It's best to shake before hanging to avoid additional creasing. Or tumble dry on a gentle cycle, but avoid overdrying.
- The duvet cover can be ironed, but the stonewashed effect (the look of naturally wrinkled fabric) may be lost. Therefore, if you want to

OUR FLAX LINEN
Grown with care. Woven with integrity.
We use only 100% French flax linen—one of the most sustainable, breathable, and skin-friendly fibres on the planet. Every piece is sewn, dyed, and stonewashed after stitching for a softness you can feel from the very first night. Naturally antibacterial, thermoregulating, and made to last for years, our linen is proof that nature gets it right.
THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY
Our Commitment to Sustainability
At Malua, we believe that what we sleep in should reflect how we want to live: gently, responsibly, and with intention. The textile industry has long overlooked the impact of its choices, favouring speed and scale over care and consciousness. We’re here to take a different path.
Our linen begins in European soil, grown from flax that requires no irrigation, no synthetic treatments, and leaves nothing to waste. From there, it’s woven, dyed, and finished in trusted Portuguese mills that honour both craft and ethical production. We don’t overproduce. We don’t cut corners. Instead, we make in small runs, focus on lasting quality, and ship directly from our warehouse in Poland—minimising waste, miles, and impact.
